ASUS ProArt series LCD monitor for the digital artiste

ASUS’s PA246Q ProArt series LCD monitor is packed with features that should serve artistes, designers and photographers better than general purpose monitors. This 24” monitor has a 16:10 native resolution of 1920X1200 on an IPS panel which gives it a wide viewing angle of 178°. Other features that should increase efficiency and productivity of contemporary creative-types include deeper color palette, near perfect reproduction of photographs, QuickFit Virtual Scale software and a swivel-stand that can rotate the screen in portrait or landscape mode.

ASUS’s PA246Q boasts of reproducing Adobe RGB color space with 98% accuracy, allowing the monitor to display photographs taken with DSLR cameras, in near full color spectrum. The screen can display up to 1.07 billion colors and the bundled QuickFit Virtual Scale software gives real-size, overlay previews of documents in A4, letter and various photo sizes. The monitor’s PIP (Picture-in-Picture) capability could be the next best thing to working with dual-displays. PA246Q has input ports for HDMI, DVI, D-Sub and DisplayPort; along with two USB ports and even a 7-in-1 media card reader. You can bag this specialist display—which carries a 3-year warranty— in exchange for Rs. 31,000.
